I am currently a software engineer at D. E. Shaw India, where I develop financial analytics infrastructure and algorithms for derivatives pricing, credit instrument modeling, volatility, and yield computations.

I completed an Integrated Bachelor and Masters in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where I worked on problems associated with usable security and privacy, advised by Mainack Mondal

My research interests lie in usable security and privacy _ understanding security and privacy challenges in real-world systems and user-facing technologies. I have worked on problems spanning software security, security issue reporting, and user decision-making in digital payment systems, and I am broadly interested in human-centric security and privacy at the intersection of users, software, and security.

Scalable Distributed Database (GitHub)

Course Project, Distributed Systems. Instructor: Sandip Chakraborty Feb. 2024 – Apr. 2024

Built a scalable distributed database in Go with range-based sharding, a write-ahead log, and a Dockerized load-balanced server architecture.

Query-by-Example for Scientific Article Retrieval (GitHub)

Course Project, Information Retrieval. Instructor: Somak Aditya Feb. 2023 – Apr. 2023

Built a Query-by-Example system for faceted scientific article retrieval using an ensemble of six language models, improving NDCG by 7.97%.

Kernel Level Load Balancer using eBPF and XDP (GitHub)

Course Project, Advances in Operating Systems. Oct. 2023 – Nov. 2023

Developed a fast, lightweight load balancer at the kernel level using extended Berkeley Packet Filters (eBPF), leveraging eXpress Data Path (XDP) to intercept and redirect network packets efficiently. Implemented a queue to hold packets when all servers are busy, then redirect them to the server that becomes free.
